Cardiovascular Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality cardiovascular care to our members in a cost-effective manner, adhering to professional practice standards and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Review cardiac patients to evaluate the appropriateness of workup and treatment plans, ensuring the appropriate level of care is provided.
- Perform cardiology consultations when indicated or requested, including completing histories and physicals, reviewing cardiac studies, ordering diagnostic studies and medications, and providing pre-procedure education.
- Collaborate with the Cardiovascular Service line to provide comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care, including initial consultation/evaluation, ongoing management of chronic cardiovascular disease, and post-procedural care.
- Actively participate in message management, including physician in-basket and virtual care of the patient.
- Minimum three years of experience in cardiovascular, critical care, or emergency room experience as a PA/NP, or minimum of three years in Cardiology as a PA/NP, or minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse in Cardiology or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) or Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) or Cardiovascular Lab (CVL).
- Graduate of ANA-approved Nurse Practitioner or AMA-approved Physician Assistant program or equivalent requirements to meet State licensure.
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License (Washington) within 6 months of hire, Nurse Practitioner National Certificate, Registered Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire, Registered Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire, and Nurse Practitioner License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire, or Physician Assistant License (Washington) within 6 months of hire, Physician Assistant National Certificate, and Physician Assistant License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum five years of experience in cardiovascular, critical care, or emergency room experience as a PA/NP.
- Experience interpreting electrocardiograms and cardiology stress tests.
