Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate unit clerical activities to ensure seamless patient care
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure timely and accurate information exchange
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts and medical records
  • Transcribe orders and communicate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely implementation
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a unit coordinator or in a related clerical/secretarial role
  • Completion of a unit coordinator course or equivalent training
  • High School Degree or equivalency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including fax machines and copiers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Unit coordinator course and/or secretarial and computer training
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting

Work Schedule: Bi-weekly hours: 80 hours per pay period, 11pm - 7am
