Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDI Specialist to join our team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing inpatient medical records to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review medical records to identify areas for improvement in clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy
  • Work closely with coding staff to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical documentation and coding practices
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in Med Surg or Critical Care
  • Previous CDI experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in use of Meditech EMR and 3M CDIS programming
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • CDI certification
  • DRG, ICD-10, and coding background
What We Offer
  • Bi-weekly hours: 80
