Warehouse Associate - Full-time Day Shift - $18-$20

We are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate for our shipping department. The role involves various responsibilities, including operating forklifts, order picking, receiving, inventory management, and freight processing in a dynamic distribution environment while adhering to established warehouse protocols. The available schedule for this position is Monday to Friday during the day shift.

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the shipping department by efficiently coordinating order picking, preparation, and dispatch of products, ensuring a focus on speed and a results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the daily operations of the shipping and receiving team.
  • Safely navigate designated inventory aisles to optimize the picking process.
  • Process items, including unboxing, labeling, packaging, and palletizing as required.
  • Follow instructions from the warehouse supervisor regarding the movement of picked products and shipment processing.
  • Implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Utilize knowledge of industry policies and procedures effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Handle product returns, ensuring items are cleaned, tested, re-packaged, and sorted according to company standards.
  • Assist with inventory tasks such as cycle counting as needed.
  • Participate in inbound container receiving, which includes unloading and palletizing shipments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of relevant business practices and procedures.
  • Ability to apply standard theories and principles to propose effective solutions.
  • Provide supervision to processes, assigning tasks and reviewing work regularly.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in resolving daily operational challenges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred industry/professional certification.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Experience operating machinery such as reach trucks and forklifts.

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Frequent use of hands to handle or feel and reach with arms is necessary. Occasional standing and walking may be required, along with the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
