Medical Laboratory Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Tacoma General Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process patient specimens for testing
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood counts, chemistry tests, and microbiology tests
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and patient information
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely test results
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred
