Role: Physical Therapy Assistant

Employment Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Up to 20 hours weekly

We are currently in search of a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Bristol Glen, a Senior Care Community situated in Newton, NJ. Our facility is thoughtfully crafted to deliver person-centered care in a nurturing environment, ensuring exceptional service and quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support physical therapists in executing therapy treatments and procedures.
  • Administer traction techniques to alleviate neck and back discomfort.
  • Guide, encourage, and assist patients in enhancing their functional abilities.
  • Monitor patients during therapy sessions, compiling and assessing data on their responses and progress, and reporting findings to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Fit, adjust, and instruct patients on the use and maintenance of orthopedic devices, including braces, prosthetics, and mobility aids.
  • Collaborate with physical therapy staff and other healthcare professionals to exchange and evaluate patient information for effective treatment planning.
  • Measure patients' range of motion, body part dimensions, and vital signs to assess treatment impacts or assist in patient evaluations.
  • Document and track client progress, behaviors, and attitudes, maintaining accurate records.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards in all practices.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a current state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
