Job Summary:

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
Prepare equipment and supplies, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Requirements:

Graduate of an educational program in Radiologic Technology.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Full range of motion of upper and lower extremities, and the ability to move and/or lift patients and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Dexterity and eye-hand coordination, and corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Potential for exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluid, requiring the use of body substance isolation precautions.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, with Advanced certification in Computed Tomography preferred.
AHA BLS required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology, with previous CT experience preferred.
