Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Sleep Specialist to join our team at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
  • Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
  • Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
  • Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret and report results of sleep studies.
Requirements:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is preferred.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Estimated Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
