Position Summary: The Logistics Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our shipping and receiving facility. This position encompasses various responsibilities including inventory management, vehicle processing, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the daily upkeep and security of the inventory and shipping facility.
  • Document and manage the flow of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Oversee the check-in and receipt of vehicles delivered to the facility.
  • Coordinate outgoing transfers to minimize wait times for drivers.
  • Assist in the training of new team members.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Conduct daily inventory scanning and reconciliation.
  • Monitor the transportation of incoming inventory and create a prioritized dispatch plan for drivers.
  • Schedule shipping and receiving appointments in collaboration with carriers and store teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Drive vehicles as necessary between various locations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and documenting data for accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with associates from other departments.
  • Capability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skills in inventory management.
  • Willingness to learn about wholesale and inventory operating procedures.
  • Completion of CarMax training programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
