About the Role

Sodexo S.A. is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to oversee daily maintenance, preventative maintenance, material purchasing, and daily work orders for our Asbury Methodist Village location in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a staff of 10-12 hourly maintenance workers
  • Oversee contract labor for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety equipment, security systems, and building hardware
  • Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of uninterrupted light, heat, power, water, and monitoring systems for all health system buildings and services
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives through innovative projects in facility management and renovations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
Requirements
  • 5 years of basic management experience
  • 3 years of work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety systems, civil, low voltage, demolition, architectural, and energy management
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Staff development and team building experience
  • Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) is a plus
