Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment Transport Operator plays a crucial role in the safe transportation of construction machinery. This position may involve a variety of tasks, adapting to the workflow as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate construction and paving machinery safely and effectively.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of heavy equipment.
  • Adhere to all USDOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of vehicle fluid levels for leaks and damages before operation.
  • Inform supervisors of any vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Calculate the weights of equipment to comply with DOT permitting regulations.
  • Safely operate various commercial vehicles, including water trucks and flatbeds.
  • Adapt to changes in schedule, location, and shift timings.

Qualifications

  • - Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets MVR policy standards.
  • Current Medical Examiners Certificate (FMCSR compliant).
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry loads exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Preferred: Experience operating lowboy trailers.
