About the Position

This is a unique opportunity to join the Harvard Medical School Curriculum Fellows Program as a Curriculum Fellow for the Center for Computational Biomedicine. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing curricula for computational biology and machine learning workshops, as well as delivering hands-on training and office hours for workflows in computational biology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Center for Computational Biomedicine team to identify educational gaps and develop curricula for workshops in computational biology and machine learning.
  • Teaching and Training: Deliver hands-on training and office hours for workflows in computational biology, and lead and intellectually contribute to one of the Center's scholarship of teaching and learning projects.
  • Liaison and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the Center for Computational Biomedicine and other Harvard Medical School departments to identify educational gaps and needs.
  • Survey and Needs Assessment: Survey HMS faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows to identify gaps in education and needs that the Center can address.
Requirements
  • Education: PhD in Computational Biology or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of postdoctoral research or fellowship experience.
  • Skills: Demonstrated interest or experience with teaching and/or curriculum development in higher education settings, comfort and experience teaching and developing curriculum in an asynchronous online environment, organizational and written and oral communication skills, and ability to support collaborations across departments in a fast-paced academic environment.
