As a Phlebotomy Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the phlebotomy team, ensuring exceptional patient care and customer-focused service, and performing venipuncture on patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service
- Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages
- Collect/prepare non-blood specimens
- Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering
- Work closely with Phlebotomy management to oversee the daily activities of the territory
- Assist with training new hires
- Provide backup coverage to the Phlebotomy Supervisor
- Assist with monthly reports
- Address errors, redraws and QA with Phlebotomists and conduct retraining as necessary
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience, minimum 1 year
- Previous team lead experience, a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze, solve problems and make evaluative judgments
- Strong computer and data entry skills, including knowledge of Excel

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards.
Employees are expected only to access PHI when it is required to fulfill job duties.
