Medical Assistant Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Trainer to join our team at Nao Medical. As a Medical Assistant Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on and theoretical training to both newly hired Medical Assistants and Medical Assistant Interns.
Your primary goal will be to develop and execute training programs covering various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring trainees gain the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
This role combines classroom instruction, practical training, and mentorship to support the transition of interns and new hires into their roles and evaluate current staff's competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for medical assistants.
- Create standardized training materials and assessments aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Provide instruction on clinical procedures, including administering injections, performing EKGs, blood draws, patient care, and enforcing safety protocols.
- Teach key administrative skills such as managing electronic health records (ECW), scheduling, insurance billing, and medical coding.
- Assess trainee performance, identify learning gaps, and offer continuous support to ensure successful integration of new hires and interns into the clinical environment.
- Collaborate with educational institutions to meet internship requirements and foster professional development.
- Tailor training approaches to accommodate various learning styles, ensuring all participants achieve competency in their respective roles.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is required.
An Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting or a related healthcare field is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of clinical procedures, including vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient care, and infection control.
Skilled in medical office procedures, including electronic health records (ECW), medical billing, coding, and appointment scheduling.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to clearly explain complex clinical and administrative tasks to new hires and interns.
Strong teaching and mentoring skills, with the capability to provide constructive feedback, ensuring new hires and interns master essential skills.
Demonstrated leadership in guiding and mentoring medical assistants and interns in both clinical and administrative functions.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple training programs concurrently while maintaining detailed progress records.
Ability to adjust training methods to accommodate different learning styles and meet the needs of new hires and interns.
Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA standards, and healthcare compliance requirements to ensure training aligns with all legal and regulatory guidelines.
Strong administrative and clerical experience, including proficiency with relevant healthcare software and technology.
