Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our inpatient resource utilization efforts at Henry Ford Hospital. As the Medical Director of Utilization Review, you will be responsible for optimizing resource use, ensuring compliance with Medicare guidelines, and promoting effective patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a medical degree, board certification, and at least 5 years of practice experience. Leadership experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting audits for Medicare compliance
  • Leading the Utilization Management Committee
  • Reviewing complex cases and facilitating studies
  • Collaborating with central UM for correct patient status
  • Educating staff on UM processes and ensuring CMS compliance

Estimated Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience.
