The General Manager, US Aftermarket will lead and inspire a team of professionals in a fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume environment. Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager of Advanced Compression & Sealing, the General Manager, US Aftermarket will oversee all strategic planning and execution for high-mix/low-volume sites that repair and service a wide range of highly engineered, mission-critical, machined parts and components serving the oil and gas, marine, industrial, chemical, and general processing markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive key metrics covering revenue, operating income, safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and inventory.
  • Drive the ongoing adoption of digital solutions with a focus on developing organizational capabilities to support these tools.
  • Lead enterprise operational excellence and continuous-improvement efforts, instilling a sense of urgency and rapid action with monthly operations KPI and financial report-outs.
  • Develop a team that will meet and beat commercial and operational goals, with a mindset of ownership and accountability within functions and product lines, as well as collaboration and camaraderie across the organization.
  • Champion professional development and career growth, a culture of learning and innovation, transparency, the highest ethical standards, continuous improvement, and a best-team-wins mindset.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ten years of operations and commercial experience in a service-oriented manufacturing environment, including seven years progressive management experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing and production processes like those used in Dover Precision Components operating companies - machining, repair, and assembly.
  • Success managing in a high-mix/low-volume production environment.
  • Demonstrated success using process and metrics-driven business/operating systems to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • A successful financial management track record, including capital and operational budgeting, and managing results against targets.
  • A proven ability to improve business performance through the effective management and development of people, from senior management to operations staff.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, with exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly articulate and deliver a progressive vision, an inspiring and decisive leadership personality.
  • Superior organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively problem-solve; experience with standard problem-solving tools (e.g., A3) strongly preferred.
  • A demonstrated commitment to integrity and the highest ethical standards.
