Job Summary:

The Vehicle Inspector is a critical role at AutoNation, responsible for ensuring the highest quality vehicles are sold to our customers. As a Vehicle Inspector, you will be the last line of defense in ensuring that every vehicle meets our rigorous standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Evaluate Vehicles: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any defects or issues that may affect their quality or safety.
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Diagnose the cause of any problems found during inspection and perform the necessary repairs to bring the vehicle up to our standards.
  • Communicate with Colleagues and Suppliers: Collaborate with our parts vendors to obtain necessary parts and communicate with colleagues to ensure that all necessary repairs are completed.
  • Document Work Performed: Accurately document all work performed on each vehicle, including any repairs or maintenance.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay current with the latest technologies and techniques in the automotive industry.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a quality control or inspection role.
  • Certifications: ASE certification preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission, valid in-state driver's license, and a safe driving record.
