Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Launch Services Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of missile components and systems. Your expertise will contribute to the successful launch operations managed by the Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough inspections and performance evaluations of missile components, sub-systems, and systems.
2. Oversee the installation and pre-flight testing of completed vehicles, ensuring compliance with all specifications.
3. Utilize a variety of standard and environmental laboratory test equipment to verify conformance with technical requirements.
4. Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation, certifying all items meet company and customer standards.
5. Perform specialized inspections, including precision cleaning, non-destructive testing, and certified welding inspections as needed.


Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inspection methodologies and environmental testing techniques.
- Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to operate various precision measuring instruments effectively.
- Familiarity with computer systems and software for documentation management.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.


Desired Skills:
- Certification as a Weld Inspector.
- Experience in launch processing operations.
- SCAPE certification for propellant protective equipment.


Work Environment:
This position requires on-site work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, with a standard work schedule. Flexibility in work hours may be necessary.
