Pediatric Gastroenterology Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Gastroenterology team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the advancement of pediatric gastroenterology.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology studies.
  • Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate in quality-related initiatives and participate in research projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.
  • Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
  • Pediatric gastroenterology inpatient and/or consult experience preferred.
  • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CPNP-AC) by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
