Behavioral Therapist

At Nexus Children's Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team. As a BCBA, you will play a critical role in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of our pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough functional behavior assessments to identify and understand challenging behaviors.
- Develop and implement evidence-based behavior treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of behavior intervention effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with caregivers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans.
- Develop and provide education and training for hospital staff on behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in applied behavior analysis to enhance treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress tracking for each patient.
- Participate in Master Treatment Planning, team meetings, and contribute to the overall treatment planning process.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and applicable regulations in the provision of behavior analysis.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
- Training and experience developing, training, implementing, and monitoring written behavioral programs.
- A minimum of two years working in an inpatient hospital setting is preferred.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Must be certified in AHA BLS/CPR.
- SAMA (Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression) Certification.
