Position Overview: We are seeking an Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) Manager to oversee and direct our ESOH initiatives in support of a key government agency. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations while enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of all environmental, safety, and occupational health functions, ensuring adherence to regulations at government facilities.
  • Develop and implement OSHA-compliant management processes, including necessary record-keeping in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Design and facilitate safety training programs to promote awareness and preparedness among employees.
  • Coordinate regular safety meetings and address any related issues proactively.
  • Conduct orientation programs for new supervisors focusing on safety protocols and reporting procedures.
  • Perform audits and inspections to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Establish and enforce environmental policies in line with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage contract activities related to environmental permits and compliance.
  • Recommend and oversee the procurement of safety equipment.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing health and safety programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to foster collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory obligations are met regarding environmental health and safety.
  • Document activities accurately and analyze processes for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with clients for feedback and support audits and inspections as required.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Professional certification in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in ESOH management, with at least 3 years in a similar capacity.
  • Thorough understanding of ESOH guidelines and experience in government facility operations.
  • Proficient in developing and reporting ESOH metrics.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams and navigate high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Experience with labor relations and managing service employees is beneficial.
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in project or facility management are advantageous.
