As an Industrial Operator-2nd Shift Specialist at BD, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for maintaining machine runtime, performing mechanical repairs, and ensuring compliance with quality systems, policies, and best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
  • Entering SAP data entries, when necessary
  • Performing line clearances and changeovers, adjusting overall and point length, resetting lid and base cycles, replacing flippers grippers, grippers, blue sponge, magnet, and O-rings
  • Helping maintain inventory of spare parts and preparing for upcoming work on the lines
  • Troubleshooting machines and identifying methods to increase efficiency of the lines
  • Ensuring the quality of all product produced
  • Performing quality checks as designated
  • Maintaining assigned equipment in working order

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (five years of manufacturing experience can substitute for education)
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
