RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated CT/X-Ray Technologist to enhance our imaging services. We are committed to redefining radiology, ensuring it plays a pivotal role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As a CT/X-Ray Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' bodies.
This position operates on a per-diem basis during weekdays from 8am to 5pm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient Imaging Procedures
- Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, verifying identities and ensuring the correct procedures are performed.
- Communicates effectively with patients, preparing them for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately.
- Executes both routine and advanced imaging techniques on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
- Adjusts imaging parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction strategies when applicable.
- Fosters positive interactions with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keeps the work environment organized and promotes safety for patients and coworkers.
- Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
- Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
- Upholds all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) Support for Imaging Department
- Assists in updating imaging protocols and managing software enhancements.
- Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
- Contributes to the training of new staff, offering guidance and technical support.
(5%) Additional Responsibilities
Completes other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
