Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician II (PCT II) plays a vital role in ensuring patients have an exceptional experience at Envision Radiology's Mansfield, TX location. This position is responsible for assisting technologists, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring a smooth transition throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced clinical screening interviews for CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine examinations.
  • Assist patients with securing valuables and changing into proper attire for the examination.
  • Prepare rooms and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologists/radiologist.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones of the Center.
  • Support technologists in preparing patients for the exam, helping patients on and off the imaging table, and escorting them back to the lobby or suitable waiting area.
  • Assist with the Priors Management Grid (receiving and validating priors).
  • Prepare images and paperwork to be sent for interpretation.
  • Contact referring provider office to obtain updated orders and clarify orders when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Scheduling Coordinator when there is a change in exam/prep for the scheduled patient.
Requirements
  • One plus year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment - radiology preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to continuously 'exceed' company and customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
Education/Certifications
  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED) - continuing education preferred.
  • Active CPR certification.
  • Phlebotomy and/or Medical Assistant training is desired.
