About the Role

AWS is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to advise our Financial Services customers on adopting and leveraging AWS technologies.

This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in the FS industry, expert knowledge of FS applications and infrastructure, and a solid understanding of how cloud services can help FS customers transform their data centers and develop innovative industry solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify FS customer needs and engage directly with customers and account teams to determine business needs and help define and develop industry solutions.
  • Help coach SAs who are directly supporting FS customers as part of the AWS account teams and gather and provide feedback to engineering teams on how to help FS customers more easily adopt AWS services.
  • Work closely with the Financial Services industry team to execute go-to-market strategies and programs at a country or area level.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.

The AWS Industries team is committed to helping industry customers enable their digital transformation journeys.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.

Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
