About the Role

As a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician at 3M, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and reliability of our equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and make a meaningful impact on our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged components
  • Maintain and improve equipment availability through preventive and corrective maintenance on mining and mobile equipment
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of major and minor assemblies and components related to power and drive trains, electrical systems, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, and hydraulic systems
  • Participate in total life cycle costs by ensuring best value use of warranties, service contracts, and maintenance records

To succeed in this position, you must have a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance, including a high school diploma or higher, or a two-year technical degree or diploma, or at least three years of experience in the field. Additionally, you must be able to work varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, short notice call-ins, and holidays as needed. You should also possess a valid driver's license with a commercial driver's license (CDL) and be legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
