Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of assigned projects in the steel fabrication and erection sector.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, and completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage schedules of values for billing purposes.
  • Handle monthly project billings, including preparation and submission.
  • Negotiate change orders, proposals, and project deductions as necessary.
  • Maintain and update "As Built" drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct work-in-progress (WIP) analyses and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Draft, review, and execute contracts, purchase orders, professional service agreements, and subcontracts.
  • Prepare and coordinate project submittals, including reviewing and checking drawings.
  • Create comprehensive schedules covering all project phases, from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee and coordinate the fabrication and erection of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, joists, and metal decking.
  • Collaborate with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and on-site teams to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Interpret specifications and blueprints to determine material requirements, quantities, and dimensions.
  • Communicate with trade contractors to coordinate schedules, resolve design conflicts, and manage material deliveries.
  • Integrate steel packages with other trades using the BIM process, including clash detection.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and cost control standards throughout the project.
  • Address subcontractor performance issues by issuing corrective action notices as needed.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including correspondence, meeting notes, and other records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Experience with scheduling software like Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred.
  • Familiarity with welding and gas-supplied equipment, rigging, and associated components.
  • Knowledge of Tekla and Fabtrol software is a plus, but not mandatory.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
