About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technician Supervisor to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Surgical Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the surgical team, ensuring that all surgical procedures are conducted safely and efficiently, and maintaining a high level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the surgical team, including surgical technicians, nurses, and other support staff.
  • Ensure that all surgical procedures are conducted in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and treatment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including anesthesia, nursing, and surgical services, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
  • Program accredited by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree of Science or Candidates without an Associate's degree must five years of operating room experience. Candidates with a degree must have two years of operating room experience.
  • 2 years Operating room experience (2 years with Associate's degree, or 5 years without degree).
