Key Responsibilities:

  • Start-up, commission, maintain, and service industrial and commercial HVAC systems and plumbing equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, determining appropriate repairs.
  • Utilize technology to document startup and commissioning processes as per project specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, models, and verbal or written instructions.
  • Validate mechanical and plumbing systems controlled by building automation systems with third-party commissioning firms.
  • Provide partial supervision of contractors and address any identified issues.
  • Coordinate activities with subcontractors effectively.
  • Service and repair HVAC components, including evaporators, condensers, and valves.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components such as thermostats and wiring.
  • Maintain accurate records of refrigerant inventory and consumption.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and utilize appropriate protective equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Execute minor plumbing tasks and ensure proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Meet project timelines and schedules.
  • Document all faults and unusual occurrences, along with time and materials used.
  • Conduct leak tests on piping systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians on HVAC system installations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CFC/Universal License required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Capable of working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility.
  • Ability to engage with diverse personalities while achieving positive outcomes.
