Your Role
As a Property Maintenance Specialist at Invitation Homes, you will be responsible for executing high-quality maintenance tasks in our single-family rental properties while delivering exceptional customer service to our residents. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Addressing maintenance service requests across various trades.
  • Providing top-notch customer service to enhance the living experience for all residents.
  • Conducting regular ProCare visits to perform proactive maintenance and repairs in residents' homes.
  • Educating residents on maintenance-related topics.
  • Assessing property conditions during visits and notifying the property management team of urgent issues.
  • Utilizing Technician-specific reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Executing repairs in vacant properties during the market phase or turnover process.
  • Properly maintaining and utilizing company-provided tools, materials, and vehicles.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Your Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent is required.

OSHA 10 certification is mandatory (new hires will have up to 90 days to obtain this certification if not already certified).

Demonstrated experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related fields.

Knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform general repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, minor HVAC, and appliances. Some training will be provided.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities; multilingual skills are a plus.

Comfortable using mobile devices (e.g., iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications.

A valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and any other necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by state law.

Preferred Certifications
While not required, the following certifications are advantageous:
  • EPA Certification, Type I and II
  • HVAC Certification
  • CPO certification (pool)

Physical Requirements
Ability to work consistently, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Capability to provide basic hand and power tools.

Physical Abilities
Must be able to perform tasks that involve frequent climbing, reaching, use of fingers, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing.

Ability to lift and/or move over 50 pounds and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned.
