Job Summary:

Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of high-speed processing and packaging equipment in a 24/7 dairy food processing facility. This role requires a team player who can troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and install new systems and utilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with industrial equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control circuits. They will also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet production requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using skills in industrial electrical, AC/DC theory, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
  • Install new systems and utilities as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and operators to ensure smooth production.
  • Ensure safe operating practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, and adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repair electrical instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Meet minimum requirements for math and reading skills, and complete maintenance skills evaluation.
Experience & Education Requirements:

An associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one year of related mechanical maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Pay:

$26.23-$36.23/hr.

The hourly rate as indicated in the CBA. The posted pay rate reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
