Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance provider, is seeking a talented Fraud Claims Specialist to join our distinguished Special Investigation unit. This position involves a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Focusing on the thorough investigation of claims
  • Facilitating meetings with relevant parties, which may occasionally take place outside the office
  • Serving as a key trainer and resource for branch associates within the Claims Department
  • Developing and presenting educational resources aimed at enhancing fraud awareness and investigation skills for claims associates
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability in conflict resolution
  • Previous experience as a Field Claim Representative, with a preference for auto and field experience
  • Competence in interpreting and responding to various documents, including insurance policies and legal papers
  • Ability to analyze information, formulate opinions, and articulate decisions clearly
  • Proficiency in report writing and correspondence
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to manage financial and mathematical components, as well as understand personal and business financial documents
  • Skillful in interacting tactfully with diverse groups of individuals
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, with the ability to drive in accordance with Company guidelines
  • Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor
