Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Advance Services, Inc. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight, moving products to storage areas, and performing various tasks to ensure a smooth and organized warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Freight: Safely load and unload freight using equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to ensure efficient and safe movement of products.
  • Product Movement: Move products to storage areas and put away with proper equipment to maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Quality Control: Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation to ensure high-quality products.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking of products to meet customer requirements.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Report all safety malfunctions on equipment and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time, and be ready to work assigned shift.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift heavy boxes up to 90 pounds when needed.
  • Equipment Operation: Pallet Jack, high lift, sit-down or stand-up lift truck.
  • Environmental Conditions: Exposures to temperatures of an average of 38 to Negative degrees depending on the work assignment.
  • Work Environment: The employee may encounter wet floors and/or damp areas and encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces.
  • Safety Protocols: The employee is required to follow all safety rules in place at the time of employment and encouraged to inform management of any perceived safety deficiencies.
  • Qualifications: Requires ability to work independently, may work overtime, evenings, or weekends to complete work, as directed and authorized by management, requires the ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines, experience is helpful but not necessary.
