Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at ACCO Engineered Systems. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and project team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager with managing internal department relationships, including accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, fabrication shops, and legal.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department regarding scope, price, submittals, and delivery for purchased items.
  • Coordinate installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage job progress onsite, leveraging your design expertise to solve emergent operational and installation challenges.
  • Oversee and/or process daily administrative items, including Document Control, RFIs, Dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, procurement logs, and more.
  • Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and on budget.
  • Escalate potential problems and assist the Project Manager in driving solutions to their complete resolution.
  • Maintain, develop, and grow viable relationships with customers, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade personnel.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience or a combination of experience and education.
  • High sense of integrity, business ethics, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency and proven success in interpersonal relationship building skills and positive customer service interactions.
  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills, including the ability to listen and follow directions.

Work Environment

This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 6:00am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.

As required from time to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or to project/customer site(s).
