Job Title: Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at Cargotec. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tax accounting services, including indirect tax accounting and returns, personal property tax, and fixed assets.
  • Coordinate month-end system balancing and closing, audits, and 1099 filing.
  • Support roles in local Country Finance and Controllership.
  • Administer and update/maintain data within Vertex and Sage.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to ensure appropriate tax assessment.
  • Lead cross-trainings of business staff related to US indirect tax.
  • Handle ad-hoc/audit requests in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in US sales/use tax, asset management, and finance operations.
  • Experience with simple to complex query handling, MS-office skills, ERP knowledge, Vertex, and Sage.
  • US indirect tax/asset management knowledge, strong team player, problem-solving attitude, analytical skills, and proficiency in written and oral English.
