Job Summary

As a Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax Specialist at Cargotec, you will play a key role in ensuring the company's compliance with US indirect tax laws and regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include providing tax accounting services, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining compliance with internal control procedures and tax accounting policies.

Main Responsibilities

Provide tax accounting services, including indirect tax accounting/returns, personal property tax, fixed assets, and coordination of month-end system balancing/closing
Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of data within Vertex and Sage
Comply with internal control procedures and tax accounting policies in compliance with US tax practices
Participate in process improvement projects to ensure appropriate tax assessment
Provide cross-training and back-up support for roles in the area of US RTR

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
2-4 years of relevant experience in US sales/use tax, asset management, finance operations
Strong knowledge of US indirect tax/asset management and ERP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
