Position Overview:

In the rapidly evolving world of cloud computing, the role of a Cloud Engineer is crucial. At Booz Allen Hamilton, we are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer who is adept at leveraging cloud technologies to transform and enhance IT infrastructures. You will be part of a dedicated team that specializes in providing innovative cloud solutions to meet complex client needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of cloud architects and engineers to design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions.
  • Utilize advanced cloud platforms, including AWS, to support clients in modernizing their IT environments.
  • Engage in DevOps practices to streamline application development and management.
  • Explore and experiment with various cloud technologies in our state-of-the-art labs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of effective technical solutions tailored to client challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proficient in RHEL and Windows Server for at least 4 years.
  • Experience in DevOps methodologies for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud development, migration, or implementation for at least 2 years.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to achieve DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III certification shortly after joining.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization technologies.
  • Strong networking design and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Developer - Associate certification is a plus.
