Administrative Director of Imaging Services

Job Summary
The Administrative Director of Imaging Services oversees the strategic planning and execution of the Imaging Department's operational, budgetary, and personnel activities. This role involves developing services, policies, procedures, resource plans, and coordinating department programs, services, and activities with other departments and services to meet the hospital's overall goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising department staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Manage and supervise department staff, including radiologic technologists, radiologists, and other support personnel.
- Develop and manage department budgets, including personnel, equipment, and supplies.
- Coordinate department programs, services, and activities with other departments and services to meet hospital goals and objectives.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and services, including radiologic imaging and related procedures.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
- Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care and services.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in imaging procedures, such as diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, mammography, CT scan, MRI, or ultrasound.
- Seven years of management experience, including supervisory and leadership roles.
- Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) required if certified in radiologic technology (Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, CT Scan).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) required.
- AHRA Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) preferred.
- Associate's degree in Applied Sciences from an accredited school of Radiology required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Science, Business, or Healthcare Administration required.
- Master's Degree in a related field is required.
