Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site visits to gather data for preparing accurate estimates.
  • Assess project demands, including labor, materials, and time requirements, to ensure timely completion.
  • Research and present bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive quotes.
  • Prepare detailed construction proposals outlining scope of work, timeline, and costs.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure the best possible terms for the company.
  • Prepare quantity surveys for all materials, labor, equipment, and services required for the project.
  • Present bid packages to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects during the pre-construction phase to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and standards.
  • Excellent numerical skills and ability to produce accurate, detailed estimates.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable contracts.
  • Ability to conduct thorough site visits and accurately assess project demands.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present bid packages to various stakeholders.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to source and analyze bids from various subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including project managers, engineers, and architects.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
