We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Northampton Business Directory. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct cost estimation and prepare accurate cost plans
- Procure and negotiate with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Monitor project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
- Collaborate with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on project financial performance
- Conduct cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Strong understanding of forms of construction contracts
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Experience of fit-out, packages including flooring, fire doors, and compartmentation
