Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious Nursing Faculty - Clinical to join our team at Galen College of Nursing. As a clinical nursing instructor, you will be responsible for engaging students in the full scope of the academic nurse educator role, including facilitating learning and learner development, using assessment and evaluation strategies, and participating in curriculum development and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively facilitate learning and learner development by creating an environment that fosters students' learning and achievement of desired student learning and program outcomes.
  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content, and context, using information technologies and eLearning technology to support the teaching-learning process.
  • Provide resources to students that help meet their individual learning needs, serving as a faculty advisor to assist students in short-term program and goal achievement and long-range career planning.
  • Use assessment and evaluation strategies to assess and evaluate student learning in all settings (classroom, lab, or clinical) and all domains (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective) of learning.
  • Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring that the curriculum incorporates established professional standards, guidelines, and competencies, and reflects current nursing and healthcare trends.
Requirements
  • Active, current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree, MSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
