Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nursing faculty member to join our team at the College of Southern Maryland. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching medical-surgical nursing courses, mentoring students, and contributing to the development of our nursing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach 30 credits of courses per contract year in the Nursing discipline
  • Design assignments that incorporate students' program of study and connect to the Nursing discipline
  • Engage students in their learning through active and collaborative learning approaches
  • Meet with students outside of class to assist them with being successful college students
  • Incorporate culturally relevant pedagogies into the teaching and learning process
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required
  • Registered nurse (RN) in Maryland, or ability to obtain Maryland RN license required
  • Two years full-time teaching experience or four years teaching as adjunct faculty member at the college level preferred
  • Related professional experience of five (5) years clinical practice in medical-surgical nursing preferred
