About the Role

Parker Hannifin is a global leader in motion and control technologies, driving engineering breakthroughs for a better tomorrow. As a Materials Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving our core products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct materials investigations and research to develop new and improve existing products, ensuring design objectives are met.
  • Apply materials engineering principles to design and test component parts, processes, or systems, and recommend solutions to well-defined engineering requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed product, process, or quality specifications, analyzing performance and customer requirements.
  • Interpret and validate test results, ensuring conformance to product qualification procedures and parameters to achieve customer and product reliability and safety standards.
  • Provide technical information and support to product engineering teams, using established materials engineering practices, standards, and documentation methods.
  • Contribute to project completion milestones, creating functional diagrams, reviewing detailed drawings, and defining data structures and interfaces.
  • Review product specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and conformity to standards and procedures, identifying design errors and recommending revisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate in an engineering or science technical discipline.
  • 2-3 years of related experience, with ability to perform hands-on metallurgical laboratory work, including metallographic sample preparation, review, and report generation.
  • Working knowledge of materials engineering domain principles and techniques, product functionality, industry practices, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, effectively communicating technical information and status updates.
