Position Title: Senior Internal Audit Consultant - Global Systems & Resource Development

Overview:

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Internal Audit Consultant to join our Global Systems and Resource Development team. This role will report directly to the VP of Internal Audit and will be an integral part of the global Internal Audit Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in accounting and auditing to enhance the company's AuditBoard system and investigate additional functionalities.
  • Collaborate with compliance stakeholders to uncover opportunities that support their initiatives.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of agile tools, methodologies, and continuous process enhancements.
  • Work alongside Internal Audit Leadership Team members for effective planning and execution of audits, including coordination with external partners.

Primary Challenges:

  • Oversee and enhance the company's AuditBoard system and Internal Audit SharePoint site to facilitate both Internal Audit and self-assessment activities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires, guest auditors, and seasoned audit staff.
  • Occasionally participate in financial audits throughout the year, with minimal travel commitments.
  • Engage in department-wide initiatives through Risk, Data Analytics, and Process teams.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication, judgment, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Results-oriented and driven by deadlines.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience in database querying using tools such as Power BI or SmartView.
  • Commitment to integrity, diversity, and inclusion.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Fraud, Economics, or Business from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant financial experience.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in using and/or supporting AuditBoard as a governance tool.
  • Proficiency in database querying and data analytics tools.
  • Prior experience in both audit and financial roles.
  • Expertise in auditing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in training delivery and development of training materials.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, MBA, CFE, or CIA.

Compensation:
Salary range is approximately $100,000 per year, subject to variation based on education, experience, skills, and location.
