About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our team at Hilltop Holdings. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our master data set, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and implement data standards, including metadata capture and monitoring.
  • Provide data quality standards for imported data and ensure high data quality through identification and resolution of inconsistencies and errors.
  • Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Support the development of reports and analysis, and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems and provide technical expertise on data catalog, data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
  • Facilitate effective elicitation, documentation, prioritization, and validation of data solution requirements as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as a data governance analyst or in a related field.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks and analyze existing tools and databases to provide software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases and demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards and high-level written and verbal communication skills.
