Speech Language Pathologist Intern

At YAI, we are committed to providing high-quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Speech Language Pathologist Intern, you will play a vital role in our team's efforts to improve the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and plan speech therapy services for pediatric and adult clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Provide training and instruction on home therapeutic programs and assistive devices to eliminate or reduce areas of deficit.
  • Document client progress using electronic health records and meet productivity expectations.
  • Participate in scheduled supervision and patient communication to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a speech language pathology graduate program.
  • Must have clinical experience from a school clinic or prior externship.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity open only to current students. The internship may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
