Position SummaryREMOTE POSITION
This role encompasses a wide array of substantive responsibilities, including drafting legal documents and correspondence for review, compiling and analyzing information, and coordinating efforts among internal team members, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders. The position also involves providing paralegal support in the development, negotiation, and management of commercial contracts and related documentation. Additionally, the role requires reporting on dashboard metrics and ensuring adherence to service level agreements regarding review turnaround times, while holding others accountable for their contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft or modify contracts, reports, correspondence, and other legal documents for managerial or legal approval.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate contracting regulations and standards.
- Generate various business unit reports and analyses related to contracting and specific clauses for multiple departments, including legal, tax, finance, and HR.
- Assist in various transactions and special projects as needed.
- Support business personnel in negotiating contract terms with clients, including reviewing agreements, suggesting language, and aiding in client presentations.
- Facilitate the development and enhancement of a contract lifecycle management system to monitor contracts and follow up as necessary.
- Conduct contract training for relevant business personnel.
- Perform assigned legal research, analyzing statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and codes to inform contract clauses and enforceability.
- Manage daily workflow and operations related to commercial contracting, including contract maintenance, redline reviews, and ensuring accuracy in contract data entry.
- Execute various administrative tasks, such as maintaining document management systems, obtaining signatures, proofreading, word processing, and generating reports.
- Carry out other related tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a corporate paralegal.
- Preferred certifications include Paralegal or NCMA.
- Familiarity with legal research techniques.
- Knowledge of administrative practices and concepts.
- Experience with automation applications and database management.
- Proficient in written business communication and report writing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
