Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate system requirements and lead design and development efforts.
  • Assist users in articulating requirements, suggest alternative solutions, and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, ensuring new plans and systems are incorporated into ongoing operations. Generate technical documentation.
  • Develop system architecture and design documentation. Oversee system development and implementation planning through the creation of system engineering management plans and system integration and testing plans.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and address associated challenges or conflicts. Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables related to the Systems Engineering domain.
  • Communicate effectively with program personnel, government officials, and senior management.
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to guarantee the delivery of production systems that align with established system architectures – including Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Clearly define interfaces in terms of origin, destination, stimulus, and data characteristics for software, as well as electrical and mechanical characteristics for hardware.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Oversee daily activities related to the configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.
  • Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Support IT systems through daily operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Facilitate the escalation and communication of status updates to agency management and internal stakeholders.
  • Enhance system operations and resource utilization, conducting system capacity analysis and planning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
  • Skill in assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with schematic capture tools.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to succeed in a challenging environment.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in various aspects of information technology.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite.
  • Understanding of component and transmission medium compatibility and interconnection.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree.
  • 5-15 years of related experience.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform sedentary work, including speaking, standing, talking, walking, working with computers, handling data, and managing numbers and figures. Must be capable of handling stress and working under pressure, utilizing MS Office and a PC, demonstrating analytical or critical thinking skills, leadership and listening skills, multitasking, negotiating skills, and project management abilities.
