Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency scenes and medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
  • Administer initial treatment at emergency scenes.
  • Assist in extricating trapped victims and transporting sick and injured persons to treatment centers.
  • Communicate with physicians and other medical personnel via radio and telephone.
  • Complete patient care and billing reports.
  • Display a working knowledge of service areas, including facility locations, local regulations and procedures, and any local medical procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as sensitive company and employee information.

Operational Duties

  • Perform regular assigned shift duties.
  • Maintain cleaning standards of stations, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Complete detailed Incident Reports and Accident Reports in a timely manner at the request of management.
  • Use appropriate terminology and tone and follow all radio communication procedures.
  • Drive company vehicles in accordance with company driving policies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current State of Ohio EMS certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license with no more than four points and approval by company insurance provider.
  • Annual proctored skills and written protocol (standing orders) testing without lapse.
