Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clerk to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a Lead Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing deli department activities, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide polite and friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
  2. Perform assigned duties in a fast-paced work environment while interacting with guests and team members.
  3. Explain product offerings, ingredients, and flavors to guests.
  4. Prepare product for sale, including frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing, and cooking.
  5. Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness according to station guidelines.
  6. Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
  7. Communicate guest requests to management and/or satisfy requests in a timely manner.
  8. Communicate temperature and/or product breakdowns to supervisor.
  9. Keep supply and work areas neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
  10. Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
  11. Ability to execute and train on duties of all hosts as outlined above.
  12. Work with management to ensure proper standards are maintained.
  13. Ability to work with management on orders.
  14. Ability to assist in completing schedules.
  15. Perform front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait standard is maintained.
  16. Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
  17. Assist in product receiving and storage.
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 1 year prior food service preparation experience is a must.
  2. Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  3. Friendly, outgoing personality.
  4. Ability to work well with others.
  5. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  6. Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  7. Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
  8. Must be at least 18 years old.
  9. Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
